Starting Wednesday, Oct. 7, Southern Illinois communities will have the ability to use ride-sharing App Uber.
Over 39 counties including Wayne, Wabash, Edwards, and White will have the app available throughout the entire state.
The expansion comes as Uber tries to adapt its policies to help drivers and riders stay safe during the pandemic.
The company did make a $50 million dollar commitment to providing personal protective equipment, as well as a partnership with Clorox to distribute wipes to drivers across the country.
