Evansville's beloved holiday tradition 'Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights' is expected to shine bright this season.

Garvin Park will be lit up with more than 60 light displays, bringing joy to the community during a year that has been far from normal.

The display of lights, which will be open from Thanksgiving through New Years Day, follows a mile-long route, and admissions support the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center.

A groundbreaking event was also held on Wednesday for a new shed, allowing for all of the displays to now be stored on-site.

"The new building will give us the ability to better protect the displays, and also as space for us to re-bulb them and do any maintenance during the year that we've previously only been able to do as we were setting them up," explained Eastersals Rehabilitation Center CEO Kelly Schneider.

You can find more information on Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights on the Easterseals website.

Wow!!!! It's cold!!!! After a trace of snow in Evansville and some higher amounts to the south, we're waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper teens across the Tri-State. Thankfully, road crews did a fantastic job treating the roads to keep conditions from getting slick. However, the northerly winds gusting as high as 15 to 20 mph has dropped wind chill values into the single digits and even below zero in our western communities. There won't be much of an improvement in temperatures this afternoon. With the strong northerly wind flow and dry skies our highs will only reach the mid to upper 20s. Winds will stay quite breezy keeping the wind chill factor in place through the day.
