The River City Rodeo is set to kick off in Evansville Friday.

The rodeo will be held at the Vanderburgh County 4H Center with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and the show starting at 6:30 p.m.

If you can't catch Friday's show, you can still see it Saturday at the same time and place.

The two-day event will include bull riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, calf roping, and more.

If you're planning to go to the River City Rodeo, buying your tickets online can save you a few bucks. Tickets are available now for $20 per adult and $8 per child, though at the door, tickets will be available for $25 per adult and $12 per child.

You can purchase tickets online by clicking here.

Organizers say a portion of all proceeds from the River City Rodeo, including ticket sales, will go to Pointman Newburgh and Rolling Thunder; two nonprofit organizations that use donations to serve Veterans.

It was another chilly start across the Tri-State; while we only dipped as low as 43° in Evansville, many others across the Tri-State fell into the upper 30s earlier this morning. The cool air didn't linger long however, temperatures quickly reached back into the mid 70s across the region this afternoon - higher pressure camped out over the southeastern quarter of the country will continue to keep the skies above the Tri-State clear while gradually driving temperatures higher over the next few days. Despite our anticipated southerly winds this evening, you may still want to grab a jacket before your head out to dinner; after seeing a temperature near 64° around dinnertime, we'll fall off toward the mid to upper 50s by 10 o'clock. Overnight lows will again dwindle into the mid to low 40s for the majority of the Ohio Valley early Tuesday morning.
