Former Henderson County Player Passes Away at 29

The Billikens assistant coach Ford Stuen passed away at the age of 29 after fighting an infection.

Ford Stuen was diagnosed with an infection at the end of the 2020-2021 basketball season. He was later hospitalized around Easter where he continued to fight off the infection.

On Tuesday, it was announced that he tragically passed away at the age of 29 after being put in an induced coma.

Stuen was a Henderson local where he played basketball during his high school career. Then, he went on to play for Oklahoma State where he graduated from college.

He was in his second season as an assistant coach and his fifth year on staff at SLU.

Stuen and his wife have one child already and were expecting another at the start of August.
