Salvation Army to Hold Food Distribution Event

A food distribution event is being hosted by The Salvation Army to support Evansville residents impacted adversely by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Salvation Army is hosting another drive-thru food distribution event in Evansville, Indiana.

On Tuesday, Sept. 1, area residents in need of assistance can go to The Salvation Army location at 1040 N Fulton Ave, Evansville, IN 47710, to receive food.

The food distribution event will last from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Each family coming to receive food will need picture I.D. for the head of the household, and no more than two families per vehicle will be served. The vehicle’s trunk needs to be empty so that the food items can be placed there.

The drive-thru line will form on the Missouri St. side of the Salvation Army building.

Normal pantry schedule will continue to take place for all others Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 1:00 pm-3:00 pm.

Sponsors are assisting with this food distribution are: Tri-State Food Bank, Farmers to Families Food Box Program, and USDA-TEFAP.
