Each day more and more people are booking vacation, as we slowly get back to normal.

But now scammers are using this opportunity to trick victims into giving them their vacation money.

Oana Schneider with the Tri-State Better Business Bureau joined 44News This Morning to discuss the latest scam impacting the area.

With an increase of people planning post-pandemic vacations, many are turning to online sources trying to secure the best deal.

Schneider sharing a couple of tips to look for, insuring the site you use is secure, and that you receive the tickets and reservations you purchased.

But that's not always the case as thieves have secured domain names that might fool the average customer.

The bitterly cold start to our Wednesday will inevitably lead to a cooler-than-average afternoon across the Tri-State. We're currently expecting an afternoon high of 26° in Evansville on Wednesday afternoon (that’s 17° below average for this time of the year). Temperatures will once again dive back down towards the teens for many of us overnight and into early Thursday. As for right now Thursday morning looks as though will be slightly warmer, but only just - believes model data indicates that we will see a morning low temperature of 14° under partly cloudy skies in Evansville tomorrow morning.
