It's a mild and dry start to Tuesday. Most of us are walking out the door to temps in the mid to upper 50s under mostly cloudy skies.

As we head into the later part of the morning, we're expecting scattered shower activity from a low pressure system that's located over Kansas right now. It's expected to move to the northeast over the next 36 hours. The heavier and stronger storms are expected to stay in the Southeast, but there is a good chance we'll still see some heavy downpours at times in the afternoon. The main time frame has the rain activity reaching our far western communities around 10:00 AM and quickly moving closer to Evansville by 12:00 - 1:00 PM. Despite the rainfall, highs will still reach the mid to upper 60s.
