A three sport athlete who spends a lot of time on the court, Jaelynn Wall has grown a lot through the Boonville volleyball program.
"She is the kind of player that never gives up," said Boonville Volleyball Coach Natalie Macaulay. "She's a strong, committed athlete."
When wall isn't snappng down spikes, the senior is hitting the books. A perfect 4.0 grade point average carrying her to the top of her Pioneer class.
"Since I was little I've had a goal of being first in my class and I feel like it's paying off," said Boonville Senior Jaelynn Wall. "With college coming it's hopefully going to help with scholarships and everything like that."
"She's always attentive in class," said Macaulay, who also serves as Wall's Science teacher. "If I ask her a question she immediately knows the answer . If she doesn't, she's trying to find it and make sure she can come up with the correct answer in class. She's what every coach and teacher wants to have in the classroom, committed to their school work and really working hard to make themselves better."
When she's not studying or on the court, Wall can be found in the Boonville community. The NHS member involved in 9 different clubs and activities.
"She really cares a lot not only about her community but the school as well." said Macaulay.
"I try to do my best at everything that I'm put into and I put myself into and I just hope it inspires other people and helps younger people do the same thing because if you're not trying your hardest then what's the point in doing it." said Wall.
"She's a committed athlete and she's a committed scholar and she's going to achieve what she wants to," said Macaulay.
