Seasonable and Dry Friday; Pleasant Weekend Ahead

We're starting the day with temps in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Dry skies will persist, but with some cloud cover through the day. Highs will top off in the low 50s.

Oh boy, it was a big difference this morning compared to the past few days. I'm sure we all had the winter jackets ready to go! Freezing temperatures and dry conditions kicked off this Friday across the Tri-State. Most of us were in the upper 20s and lower 30s under partly sunny skies.

While most of us bundled up this morning, the conditions above will become more pleasant this afternoon. Highs will reach the low 50s with a mix of sun and clouds. No need to grab the umbrella, we will continue our dry trend for the fifth day in a row.

Good news though, we will be clear of any wet weather through the weekend and into early next week. It will be a picture perfect weekend for some outdoor plans. Saturday will be filled with plenty of sunshine with highs in the mid 50s. Sunday is going to most likely be the pick of the weekend. Winds becoming more southerly paired with clear conditons is expected to push temperatures near the 60 degree mark.

The warming trend won't stop there! We could make a run near the 70 degree mark by Wednesday and Thursday, but some light rain chances could be possible by that time as well.

Our snowy, slick start to the day gave way to a gloomy, gray and chilly afternoon throughout the Tri-State. After only reaching temperatures in the mid 30s early in the day, we will see temperatures gradually tumble back down into the upper 20s by 10 o’clock. Despite the gradual clearing conditions overnight (which would normally lead too a much colder morning), the mercury is expected to remain relatively stable into early Tuesday morning. The return of a southerly wind flow overnight will help keep the temperatures milder as we head towards daybreak.
