Staying in the River City, dozens of volunteers are helping to set up the 27th Annual Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights.

Dozens of people from International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, The Teamsters, and The National Electrical Contractors Association came out to Garvin Park Saturday.

Those who volunteered helped with transporting more than 60 elaborate light displays from storage and installing them.

But even during this pandemic, money raised will go towards a good cause.

"One of the largest fundraisers for Easterseals raises thousands of dollars each year to provide therapy services for local kids and adults with disabilities, who couldn't otherwise afford that,," says Pam Kirk, Easterseals Director of Marketing and Community Relations.

In order to stay safe, volunteers were permitted to wear face coverings and maintain social distancing during the set-up process.

Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights will run nightly from Thanksgiving thru January First.

Wow!!!! It's cold!!!! After a trace of snow in Evansville and some higher amounts to the south, we're waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper teens across the Tri-State. Thankfully, road crews did a fantastic job treating the roads to keep conditions from getting slick. However, the northerly winds gusting as high as 15 to 20 mph has dropped wind chill values into the single digits and even below zero in our western communities. There won't be much of an improvement in temperatures this afternoon. With the strong northerly wind flow and dry skies our highs will only reach the mid to upper 20s. Winds will stay quite breezy keeping the wind chill factor in place through the day.
