Shooting at JFK Basketball Courts in Henderson Under Investigation

Henderson Police are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred near the JFK Basketball Courts in Henderson on Thursday night.

On Thursday night around 9:00 p.m., officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to a shots-fired call in the area of the JFK Basketball Courts at the intersection of Vine St and S. Alves St.

When they got there, officers were told that the victim had walked into Deaconess Hospital with a gunshot wound. Witnesses also told police several shots had been fired from near the intersection of Vine and S Alves.

The shooting victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the left arm and was released after being treated at Deaconess.

HPD is currently investigating the shooting.
