Should You Wear a Face Mask at Home?

With new strains of COVID-19 identified in the U.S. some doctors say wearing a face mask inside your home could help.

As new strains of Coronavirus infiltrate the Tri-State medical professionals are telling the public to consider wearing a mask at home if you live with someone who might be more vulnerable.

Another concern to be aware of -- having visitors over. Not knowing what precautions they're taking could increase your risk of exposure, "Definitely if you have someone new coming into the family unit, you should try to socially isolate and especially if you have older family members in the home," said Dr. Gina Huhnke.

If you are healthy and around the same family members every day it's not as necessary to mask up. Doctors warn when you leave your home you should try to adhere to state mandates.
