A portion of Main Sreet in downtown Evansville got spruced up a bit.

Keep Evansville Beautiful and Signature School students planted flowers in front of the school.

Their focus is to keep our community clean by promoting recycling and litter prevention, plus community greening.

"We love having Signature School on Main Street, it creates a real sense of vibrancy during the day when the students are here, and we are very appreciative of Signature as a neighbor -- faculty, administration, and the students all take part in downtown and help us out with a lot of events and such," said Josh Armstrong, president of the Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District.

Keep Evansville Beautiful is a not-for-profit organization funded by the public.
