Southridge Baseball Ends Memorial's Season in the Regional Title Game

The Southridge Raiders are headed to the 3-A Semi-states after knocking off Memorial in the Regional Championship game Saturday night.

The Southridge baseball team continued  it's march back to the 3-A State Title game, knocking off Memorial in the Regional Championship game, 7-2 Saturday night at Huntingburg's League Stadium.

The Raiders opened the day by rallying to force extra innings, then beating Silver Creek 2-1 in eleven innings in the Regional Semifinals.

The Tigers earned their date with Southridge by beating Batesville , 6-1 in the other Regional Semifinal game.

Southridge will take on Indy-Brebeuf in the 3-A Semi-State Title game next Saturday, time and location to be determined.

Today's high temperature of 87° was our warmest in a week and a half - we last climbed that high on the afternoon of September 18th when we tipped the scales at 88°. The remainder of the evening will remain quite mild under clear skies; expect temperatures to first fall to 83° by dinnertime before dropping to 73° by 10PM. The clear skies and weak southerly wind flow will help keep temperatures relatively stable during the overnight and predawn hours - we'll wake up to a morning low of just 62° early Wednesday morning.
