An April Fool's joke at the Kentucky State Police has now turned into a fundraising auction that will go towards a good cause.
KSP is selling a one-of-a-kind Trooper Bunny that came about on April Fools Day when a KSP employee brought in a stuffed bunny dressed up as one of KSP's Trooper Teddy Bears.
After sharing it with everyone and discovering how popular the Trooper Bunny was, the employee donated it to KSP with one request: that the Trooper Bunny be auctioned off to support the Trooper Teddy Project.
Bidding for KSP's special "Trooper Bunny" started at just $5 - but after 61 bids, the bunny is currently going for over $800, with over a day left until the auction closes.
All proceeds from the sale of the Trooper Bunny will go towards the Trooper Teddy Project, which provides teddy bears to children in traumatic situations such as car crashes, exposure to drugs, or domestic abuse cases which frequently result in the arrest of a parent.
