COVID-19 postpones the 2021 Grammy Awards. The ceremony was originally scheduled for January 31, but has not been put on hold.
Previously, The Grammys had cut the audience with only presenters and performers on site for the award ceremony. Nominees were also expected to appear and accept awards virtually. But a surge in COVID-19 cases in California has pushed the ceremony back on the calendar. Officials now expect to hold the ceremony sometime in March.
Meanwhile, California's recent surge in COVID-19 cases has also put Hollywood on hold. A temporary hold is underway for movie productions until Mid-January.
