It's going to be a good week to keep the rain gear handy. We're starting off the work week with dreary and cloudy conditions across the Tristate. The good news - we are being welcomed with cooler temperatures.

The Tri-State woke up to a variety of temps across the area. Our northern communities saw temperatures as low at 64° and our southern communities were mostly in the low 70s. Evansville hit a low temperature of 71° overnight.

Today's conditions are expected to be dominated with mostly cloudy skies with slight shower chances throughout the afternoon. Temperatures will sneak into the low-to-mid 80s by the afternoon. As we approach sunset, we should gradually clear those clouds out. Lows will dip down into the upper 60s overnight.

Even though temperatures are going to be below seasonable averages, we're expected to see a very unsettled weather pattern over the next few days. Tomorrow, another round of heavy showers and possibly thunderstorms will roll back in the region. As of now, there is no threat of strong-to-severe storms through Tuesday. However, we'll be monitoring the amount of rainfall making its way through the Tri-State. Early projections have us receiving possible 1"- 2" of rain by Thursday.

Shower and storm chances will be rolling back into the Tri State as early as daybreak for your Mother's Day. Through the hours of 2PM-6PM will be the greatest window for severe watches and warnings to be issued for the area. Keep yourself weather-aware.
