Strong Storms Then A Taste Of Winter

Watching for some strong storms overnight, then a feeling of winter hits the Tri-State this week.

Our third day in a row with very mild temperatures. Highs across the Tri-State were in the low and middle 60's. A few showers at times crossed the area. A cold front will push through the Tri-State and will cause a few strong storms, that could have strong winds and even some torrential rain. Some flash flooding is a possibility. Strong winds overnight switching from the southwest to the northwest and may gust as high as 30 mph.

For your Monday, skies will clear out and be much colder. The high temperature for Monday will be 44 degrees and northwest winds out of northwest at 10 to 15 mph. Tuesday will be even colder only a high near 35 degrees and overnight Tuesday and into Wednesday may bring a few flurries. Winter is just starting to say hello.

Wow!!!! It's cold!!!! After a trace of snow in Evansville and some highe amounts to the south, we're waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper teens across the Tri-State. Thankfully, road crews did a fantastic job treating the roads to keep conditions from getting slick. However, the northerly winds gusting as high as 15 to 20 mph has dropped wind chill values into the single digits and even below zero in our western communities. There won't be much of an improvement in temperatures this afternoon. With the strong northerly wind flow and dry skies our highs will only reach the mid to upper 20s. Winds will stay quite breezy keeping the wind chill factor in place through the day.
