Stuff The Bus Collection Brings in 3,000+ School Supplies

The Salvation Army says more than 3,000 school supplies were collected over the weekend for the annual Stuff the Bus campaign.

"Stuff The Bus" was a big success over the weekend collecting more than 3,000 brand new supplies for students. The Salvation Army teaming up with area Walmart locations for the annual back to school supply drive.

In Boonville 591 items were donated, in Newburgh, 196 items, the East side Walmart bringing in the highest number of donations collecting more than 2,000 back to school supplies and over on the West side 408 items collected in total.

The donations will be distributed to area schools, the Teacher Locker in Vanderburgh County and Hope Central in Warrick County. The Salvation Army thanks everyone who helped to stuff the bus ahead of the new school year.
