Sunday Night Forecast (01/10/21)

Posted: Jan 10, 2021 10:28 PM

Let's start with the good news, sunshine will be making an arrival back in the Tri-State around daybreak. Unfortunately, we will be battling frigid conditions. Temperatures will cool into the mid-20s through the overnight. Just in time for your rush hour commute, expect a morning low of 26° in the River City. Clouds will be on the steady decrease through the morning hours. The afternoon warm up will be in slim margins. Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 30s.
Tuesday will be more promising for sunnier skies but seasonal temperatures will be on the menu as well. Southwest winds will kick in; that will allow the mercury to soar in the mid-40s. If you like it warmer; we could even experience 50s by Thursday.

It was another cool, though overall pleasant day across the Tri-State - after only seeing temperatures dive as low as 22° early this morning, peak temperatures ended up climbing a few degrees higher than Thursday's; that being said, Evansville’s high temperature of 27° Was still 15° below average for this time of the year. As for the evening ahead, temperatures will gradually fall for 23° around dinner time back down to 19° by10 PM. A weak northerly wind flow most of the night paired with our crystal clear skies will cause temperatures to of fall back down into the mid to low teens once again - Evansville's anticipated low temperature of 12° will mark or coolest since the morning of January 7th.
