The fantastic mild weather will continue to settle in to kick off your holiday week. Conditions will be chilly and somewhat cloudy by daybreak with morning lows cooling into the upper-30s. Breezy southwest winds will be in control through the day along with sunny skies. The combination of the two will help boost temperatures into low-to-mid 50s by the afternoon. Winds could also gust as high as 30 MPH.
The unseasonal warm conditions will continue trend through the area for Tuesday and Wednesday. However, long-range guidance is still suggesting our next rain-maker will be arriving in the Tri-State by Wednesday afternoon. Our midweek rain chance will be associated with a potent cold front. Through Christmas Eve temperatures will be in freefall with a chance of morning flurries. We dry out entirety by Christmas morning, many Tri-Staters will be waking up to mid-to-upper teens regionwide.
Winter begins at 4:02 AM CST.
