Not much has changed over the course of the week! It was another chilly and dry start to our day. However, some of our communities woke up to warmer temperatures than others. Areas north of the Tri-State definitely felt the chill with temps in the low to mid 40s. Winds were on the breezy side, which made those cities and towns feel like they were walking out to upper 30s/lower 40s. South of the Ohio River got a bit of a break – values were mainly in the upper 40s/lower 50s.

Overall, it’s going to be a beautiful Wednesday. We won’t have to worry about the late day cloud cover like the past two days. Sunny skies will fill our skies helping temperatures reach the mid to upper 60s. Other than the below normal highs, the only thing that may be a bit uncomfortable is the gusty winds – speeds will be around 10-20 mph, with gusts reaching 25 mph.

This evening will drop back down into the upper 50s and lower 60s under mostly clear skies. You know what that means… overnight temperatures are going to be down right chilly once again. You’re going to be cranking up the heat because our morning temperatures will be sitting in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Thursday afternoon will be nothing but gorgeous with highs back in the upper 60s.

Scattered rainfall continues to affect portions of the Tri-State and it seems as though it will continue to do so through the remainder of the evening and overnight. After reaching an afternoon high near 80° earlier on, expect temperatures to gradually fall toward 70° by dinnertime before dwindling into the mid 60s by 10 o'clock. Overnight lows will dive all the way back down into the upper 50s by the predawn hours Wednesday; we'll fall to 58° in Evansville. The cold front and associated low responsible for all of our rain chances both today and tonight is expected to stall stall Wednesday, prolonging our isolated rain chances tomorrow, especcially for those of us north and east of Evasnville.
