TODAY: Crystal blue skies and unseasonable cooler air will be filtering in across the Tri State as we wrap up the workweek. Highs will have a challenge approaching the 80-degree mark.

TONIGHT: Skies will remain clear, but it's going to get down right chilly. The mercury will once again dip into the mid-to-upper 50s.

WEEKEND & NEXT WEEK: Throughout Saturday and Sunday we will remain rain-free. Afternoon highs will be on the rise starting Sunday afternoon. Independence Day will be seasonal with a high of 89° under sunny skies. All firework shows should be in the clear when it comes to the conditions Sunday evening and night. The summer-like heat and humidity returns by Monday.

It's a seasonable and dry start to Friday, but the heat is going to turn up this afternoon. Partly sunny skies will stick around with highs in the mid to upper 80s. The humidity may take the way it feels up a notch. Those southerly winds will help push in that moisture making it feel more like the low 90s. An isolated shower can't be ruled out, but any rainfall won't ruin our plans.
