There are concerns from local doctors that tri-state gatherings for Super Bowl could turn into Covid-19 superspreader events. Public health officials have advised against any type of gatherings until more people are vaccinated.

Cases across Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois have been dropping for weeks. That could change if people ignore the warnings, break social distancing rules and socialize without mask. Even if you don’t attend one of those gatherings, doctors urge you to take extra precautions if you have family members or coworkers who attended a Super Bowl gathering.

Local health officials tell 44News they will monitor fluctuations in Covid-19 cases to determine if people practiced C.D.C. guidelines to stay safe.
