Main Suspect in Deadly Burglary Faces a Judge for the First Time

The Webster County man accused of killing another man during a botched burglary in Evansville faced a judge, Thursday afternoon.

The Webster County man accused of killing another man during a botched burglary in Evansville faced a judge, Thursday afternoon.

Biker Cox, 21, of Dixon, Kentucky is facing Burglary resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, Criminal Gang Activity, and Obstruction of Justice charges.

He entered a not-guilty plea and his bond was set at $500,000.

The charges are tied to an April 3rd shooting on South Bedford Avenue. Police were called to the scene and found the home's door open and 28-year-old Timothy Y. Adams of Evansville, dead inside.

Three other suspects were arrested, not long after, Kingston Southard, Zaelin Fox, and Dayvon Lang.

Cox was hunted down by law enforcement, Monday night, after interrogation of those three suspects revealed, Cox was the one who shot and killed Adams.

Evansville Police tell 44News, no one was home at the time that the group of five men broken in. Investigators believe Cox accidentally shot his friend while they were inside the home.

Southard and Fox have been released from jail, but they are long with Lang are facing Burglary, Criminal Gang Activity, and Obstruction of Justice charges.

If Cox is released from custody, a condition of his bond is that he is banned from making contact with the homeowner on S. Bedford Avenue or going near the property.

His next court date is scheduled for April 22nd.
