Indiana Conservation Officers are looking into a jet ski explosion that happened on Tuesday morning at Lynnville Park in Warrick County's Lynnville, Indiana.
According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, a 16-year-old girl started her PWC on the water at Lynnville Park around 9:34 a.m. on Tuesday when for unknown reasons, it exploded and ejected her into the water.
Indiana DNR says 19-year-old Harrison Raisor of Evansville was on shore nearby, saw the explosion, and pulled the teen out of the water.
The 16-year-old girl was flown to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville for severe back injuries. Indiana DNR says she was wearing a life jacket at the time of the accident.
The cause of the explosion remains under investigation at this time.
Responding agencies included Warrick County EMS, Lynnville Fire, Elberfeld Fire, and St. Vincent StatFlight.
