We're climbing back up the temperature ladder! It's going to be a sunny and warm weekend!

As we start off our Friday, temperatures are all over the place. Some areas are walking out the door to low 50s, while we in Evansville are in the low 60s. It's mild, but skies are looking beautiful with partly cloudy skies.

Scattered cloud cover will linger for much of our morning before clearing this afternoon, helping the high reach 79° in Evansville as we wrap up the work week. If you plan on attending any of those football games Friday night, temperatures should be right around 70° at kickoff.

In addition to the sunshine Saturday, a breezy southwesterly wind flow will boost temperatures back into the mid 80s area wide; we'll hit 84° in the River City that day. Sunday looks even warmer! The anticipated rainfall Sunday night will arrive ahead of an advancing cold front. The cold front will continue to produce rainfall into next Monday as well. The lingering rain and cloud cover paired with the cool air mixing in behind the passage of that cold front may only allow temperatures to reach the upper 60s heading into next Tuesday.
