Customers of Tennyson water are now under a boil advisory until further notice.

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management advised the boil order was necessary.

Tennyson leaders say it is a precautionary measure due to a “drinking water problem in your area.”

This includes all water customers South of Tennyson Fire Department, including the Town of Tennyson area, Degonia area, and all customers off of State Road 62.

Tennyson’s Town Council President says they are recommended all cooking and drinking water be brought to a complete boil for 5 minutes before using.

Town leaders are urging residents to boil all cooking and drinking water until further notice. The boil advisory is expected to last until at least Sunday.

Our third day in a row with very mild temperatures. Highs across the Tri-State were in the low and middle 60's. A few showers at times crossed the area. A cold front will push through the Tri-State and will cause a few strong storms, that could have strong winds and even some torrential rain. Some flash flooding is a possibility. Strong winds overnight switching from the southwest to the northwest and may gust as high as 30 mph.
