Kentucky to Receive $297 Million in Rental Assistance

The CDC Has Extended Its Moratorium on Evictions Through the End of January 2021

Kentucky Governor Beshear announce on Monday, that the CDC has extended moratorium on evictions through January 31st, 2021.

The new federal COVID-19 relief bill has designated $297,000,000 for Kentucky rental assistance, in addition to separate allocations for Louisville and Lexington.

The funds can be used for past due rent, future rent payments, utility and energy bills, and prevent shutoffs.

Our third day in a row with very mild temperatures. Highs across the Tri-State were in the low and middle 60's. A few showers at times crossed the area. A cold front will push through the Tri-State and will cause a few strong storms, that could have strong winds and even some torrential rain. Some flash flooding is a possibility. Strong winds overnight switching from the southwest to the northwest and may gust as high as 30 mph.
