The Daviess County Confederate Monument Relocation Committee meets again today, for what could be the last time, as they vote on where the statue on the courthouse lawn will be relocated to.

In recent months, the committee has narrowed the locations down to two possibilities, the soldier could go to the Owensboro Museum of Science and History or the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art.

The base of the statue will go to the site of the Battle of Panther Creek along Kentucky Highway 431.

The meeting is expected to begin today Nov. 18 at 4:30 PM.

The passage of an overnight cold front will bring another shot of unseasonal cool air. Northwest winds will give way to raw conditions with windchills holding in the 30s through most of the day. Expect highs to top in the upper-40s under clear skies.
