You'd think you were waiting to get into Disney World.
With lines out into the street and wait times lasting well over an hour.
"Seems like forever," Yvonne Paschall, a drive-up ticket buyer said. "I'd say at least an hour, and hour and half seems like."
Though, it wasn't Mickey waiting at the front of the lines. Instead, it was the orange booths selling this year's coveted West Side Nut Club Half Pot tickets.
The final three days of sales kicked off Thursday at 3 pm and in less than two hours the pot grew nearly $200,000.
"This was well-anticipated, we knew this last weekend was going to be the surge gonna be the push," West Side Nut Club member Brandon McClish said.
There's four booths across Evansville's West Side to choose from -- two walk ups and two drive-thrus -- and they all saw their biggest lines since sales began two weeks ago.
"I got down here about 10 til' 2 and saw cars really starting to pile up and these lines," McClish said.
With the prize money climbing closer to that million-dollar mark, ticket buyers like Paschall are eager to be this year's big winner.
"Pay everything off, take care of my family, donate, all kinds of stuff," she said.
That's especially true now, with the Fall Festival canceled. It's a shred of hope during an uncertain time.
"Most people coming up here are obviously buying their chance at half a million dollars or whatever it turns out to be," McClish said. "But the other portion here are 'I'm so glad you're doing this, this is so great,' because it does immediately go back into the community."
Ticket sales continue Friday from 3 to 9 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm. The winning ticket will be drawn at 6 pm Saturday and will be streamed live on the West Side Nut Club Facebook page.
