Threat of Severe Storms Possible Monday

What to expect for Monday

Posted: Oct 10, 2021 10:07 PM

MONDAY: The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of the Tri State under a "1" and "2" on the Threat Index. The morning hours will remain rain-free outside of increasing clouds and strong winds. A line of storms will develop from the west and arrive by 1PM. Between the hours of 1PM - 7PM will be the best opportunity for the atmosphere to be supportive of severe storms. Damaging winds and hail will be the primary threats. There is even an isolated chance of a brief tornado.

MONDAY NIGHT: Showers and storms will continue to progress eastward. Conditions will eventually clear out by midnight as temperatures cool into the upper-50s.

REST OF THE WEEK: Tuesday and Wednesday will be delightful with sunny skies. Another round of storms will arrive by Thursday night into Friday. Much cooler air arrives by next weekend.
