Three Evansville Residents Sentenced for Death of Virginia Woman

Three Evansville residents have received their sentences for their roles in the death of a Virginia woman whose body was discovered in November 2019.

Three Evansville residents have received their sentences for their roles in the death of a 29-year-old Virginia woman who was found buried under a garage in November of 2019.

On Monday, Aug. 31, 56-year-old Joan Paul and her daughter, 32-year-old Angela Paul, were each sentenced to 30 years in prison. 

Both Joan and Angela pleaded guilty to neglect of a dependent causing death in July.

57-year-old Gary Wayne Anderson was also sentenced to 65 years on charges of Murder, Battery Resulting in Death of an Endangered Adult, Criminal Confinement, Failure to Report a Dead Body, and Assisting a Criminal.

29-year-old Evonne Pullen was last seen in September of 2018 before being discovered under the garage more than a year later.
