Thursday Was Highest Day Ever for New COVID-19 Cases in Kentucky

Today, Gov. Andy Beshear announced COVID-19 case information for Thursday and Friday, which included the highest number of new daily cases ever reported in the state and the second highest number of new confirmed deaths which were on Thanksgiving.

Thursday was the highest of newly positive cases at 3,870 and combined days total at 5,617. Total deaths in Kentucky for Thursday are 32 and combined days, total 36 deaths.

Total deaths: 1,871

New cases: 3,870
