Pro golfer Tiger Woods was hospitalized after a serious crash on Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LACSD).
The sheriff's department says the crash happened around 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes neighborhoods in Los Angeles.
LACSD says Woods' vehicle sustained "major damage" and that Woods had to be extricated from the wreck with the "jaws of life" by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics.
After being freed from the vehicle, Woods was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for his injuries.
Woods' agent says he suffered multiple leg injuries in the crash and is currently in surgery.
