Officials with Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana on Wednesday announced a new partnership with the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana that will bring a new YMCA facility to Princeton, Indiana.

According to Curry, the new facility will be located at 215 W. Water Street in Princeton, Indiana, which is the site of the former Lowell Elementary School.

The new YMCA facility in Princeton has plans to create areas for a STEM lab, teaching kitchen, gymnasium, childcare area, and more with a timeline to open in January 2022.

TMMI has committed $1 million towards bringing the new YMCA facility to life.

The new facility will be called the "Toyota Indiana YMCA." President Curry says the facility "will offer access to all," providing Gibson County residents with a community center where they can build a healthy spirit, mind, and body.
