TODAY: Afternoon temperatures will surge beyond the 90-degree mark. Along with the hot conditions , the humidity will be oppressive through the day. It will feel closer to the century-mark. There will be little to no relief to take the edge off the steamy summer-like air outside of a few clouds. It will remain rain-free.
TONIGHT: Skies will remain clear with an overnight low of 71°. Patchy fog will be possible between the hours of 5AM - 8AM.
REST OF THE WEEK: We could be battling with dangerous heat by Tuesday afternoon. The mercury could spike into the mid-90s with a heat index of 105° of greater. Heat Advisories will be possible Tuesday and Wednesday for most of the area. Isolated afternoon and evening showers could show up in our northern-most communities (north of I-64) Tuesday afternoon. The seasonal heat will survive for the Tri State though the rest of the workweek.
