The unemployment rate in Vanderburgh county is as low as 3%, but the amount of employers looking to hire continues to rise.

"On any given day, there's 7,000. 7,000 open jobs in Evansville," says Katrinka Rynder, Business Development manager.

People link staffing solutions hosting their second "Trade Tuesday" job fair, to connect those looking to work in the Evansville and Princeton area.

Rynder says the process is simple...On the spot interviews and immediate job offers. And they can also get someone working, within a week.

"You're going to come in, we're going to talk about all of them, the pay range is $10-$16 an hour,"

As Southern Indiana is one of the largest manufacturing focused regions in the nation, the lack of employee's has slowed service.

People Link Staffing Solutions has 26 different job styles with over 200 job openings available. And for those who may be hesitant when it comes to job searching because of the past, PLSS has the answers for you.

"Majority of our employers are second chance employers. That means we all have a past, they're going to look passed your past," Says Rynder.

Due to the number of job openings in the area, the hiring agency is going to continue trade Tuesday as a weekly event. They have even extended their hours to accommodate everyone's needs.

After what was our coldest start today since January 8th, temperatures only climbed as high as 25° in Evansville earlier today, marking our coolest afternoon in just under two weeks. The evening ahead will be equally bone-chilling; after seeing temperatures around 21° at dinnertime we'll tumble back down to 19° by 10 o’clock under gradually decreasing cloud cover. The combination of clear skies and northerly winds will allow temperatures to fall all the way back down to 15° in Evansville early Friday morning. Worse yet, windchill values are expected to dive right back down into the single digits area-wide.
