The Evansville Police Department is advising the stop light outside of Harrison High School is now down.

The light is located at the Lloyd Expressway and Fielding Rd intersection.

EPD says it was disabled due to an accident Saturday morning.

"The intersection is currently a four-way-stop and is congested. If you can avoid this intersection via another route, please consider doing so," said a release from the Evansville Police Department

The stop light being down will making moving through the area a lot slower for the Harrison band invitational Saturday night, which starts at 5. Anyone attending can expect a delay in getting there.

While INDOT was originally not going to get to the light until later this week, they announced just after 4 p.m. they would have crews out on site Saturday night.

They will make temporary repairs so the traffic light can operate again. They will then start working on permanent repairs.

A line of sustained to heavy rainfall is expected to push northeastward across the Tri-State between the hours 7AM and 11AM Thursday morning; be sure to pack an umbrella early tomorrow, as that timeline will fall during your morning commute Thursday. After the initial line of rain exits east of the region, we'll continue to see periods of scattered rainfall throughout our Thursday afternoon and evening. Unfortunately, the same can be said for our Friday - lower pressure slowly spinning eastward will stall the rainfall and prolong our precip chances as we head into Friday afternoon and evening. It looks as though those chances of rainfall throughout our Friday will be sporadic at best and shouldn't lead to any significant disruption to those Friday night football games.
