The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions on State Road 62 in Chandler for a traffic signal maintenance project.

Beginning on or around April 5th, contractors will restrict one lane in each direction for the work. Crews will be working in two different locations as this project will take place at the intersections of State Street and 4th Street.

The restrictions are put in place to protect the workers who will be fixing the utilities at the locations.

They will be in place during daytime hours only; so throughout the project one lane will be open in both directions.

INDOT is urging drivers to slow down and stay alert as the crews complete their work.

Officials say they expect the project to last until mid-April, barring any weather conditions that would hinder the time line.
