A Tri-State woman is celebrating a milestone birthday with her family this weekend.

Nellie Limp of Mount Vernon turned 100-years-old on Thursday.

On Saturday, her family came in from nine different states to celebrate with her.

Nellie was born in 1921 in Union County, Kentucky and was one of 16 children.

She has 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren, and many more step grandchildren.

"I thank the Lord that I was able to live to be 100," says Nellie Limp, celebrating 100th birthday. "Don't give up. Just keep it going because the Lord is with us."

Nellie's Dad lived until the age of 111.

In her 100 years, Nellie has loved crafting, traveling, and making handmade quilts for her family.

The bitterly cold start to our Wednesday will inevitably lead to a cooler-than-average afternoon across the Tri-State. We're currently expecting an afternoon high of 26° in Evansville on Wednesday afternoon (that’s 17° below average for this time of the year). Temperatures will once again dive back down towards the teens for many of us overnight and into early Thursday. As for right now Thursday morning looks as though will be slightly warmer, but only just - believes model data indicates that we will see a morning low temperature of 14° under partly cloudy skies in Evansville tomorrow morning.
