As of Tuesday, Tropicana will no longer operate in Evansville, Indiana.
Tropicana Evansville officially became "Bally's Evansville Casino" on Tuesday.
While the transition is completed, the Evansville casino and hotel will remain temporarily closed until about 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13.
Over the coming months, officials say the Bally's name will begin appearing on more items like playing cards, dice, table games, poker chips, signs, and more.
The Bally's Corporation completed its acquisition of Tropicana Evansville at the beginning of June 2021.
Bally's said it purchased Tropicana Evansville for $140 million, and that as part of the transaction, another organization that acquired the real estate associated with Tropicana Evansville for $340 million is now leasing it to Bally's for $28 million a year.
This is the Bally's Corporation's first location in Indiana, but in total, Bally's now owns and operates 14 properties around the United States.
