Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation Athletic Director Andy Owen has confirmed that two student-athletes within the district have tested positive for COVID-19. The conditions/symptoms of the students who tested positive have not been released.

Although the positive cases were confirmed by Owen, EVSC has not confirmed which sport, grade, or school the positive cases were associated with.

The school district says they have taken all necessary precautions in notifying everyone involved, including staff, coaches, students, and parents.

According to the district, this will not delay the start of any current or future athletic practices or games.

At this time, it's unclear if any other EVSC students have undergone COVID-19 testing.
