The University of Kentucky Men's Basketball team has now been put on a 48-hour pause, including the cancellation of Saturday's contest against Texas.

The announcement comes after a number of people close to the team tested positive for COVID-19.

This is the first cancellation of the season for the Wildcats.

UK ticket holders will receive an email later, about any additional changes to the team's schedule.

The program has yet to determine if there will be any make-up dates for this weekend's contest.
