As of Monday, Aug. 2, anyone visiting the University of Evansville's campus will be required to wear a mask while in an indoor setting, regardless of vaccination status.

The University says that the policy is being reinstated to align with the new guidance recently issued by the CDC, which recommends indoor masking due to the highly contagious Delta variant.

UE says that in addition to the new on-campus mask rule, at least three feet of social distancing should be maintained when possible.

The University says the policies will remain in place until public health data and vaccine status indicate that face coverings are no longer necessary.

For now, UE continues to encourage its community to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

We're waking up to dry and cold conditions this Tuesday morning. As we head into the afternoon, temperatures won't rise much. Highs are only going to be in the mid to upper 30s. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a chance of flurries overnight. It won't be a big snow by any stretch, but you could see some flurries flying Tuesday night into Wednesday morning around the Tri-State. Don't expect more than a dusting, with greater chances falling north of I-64.
