Four new COVID-19 deaths were reported within Indiana's Tri-State counties by the state health department on Friday.
While one new COVID-19 death was also originally reported in Posey County on Friday by the state health department, the Posey County Health Department later said that the individual who died was residing in a different county for several months prior to their death and that the correction had been reported to the state health department to be changed.
Vanderburgh County
In Vanderburgh County, two new COVID-19 deaths were reported on Friday. That brought Vanderburgh County's total number of COVID-19 deaths to date to 21, since the first death in the county was recorded by the state health department on April 6.

The state health department listed 39 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Vanderburgh County on Friday, which brought the total number of cases identified there to date to 2,687.
Knox County
Two new COVID-19 deaths were also reported in Knox County on Friday, bringing the COVID-19 death toll there the six in total.
Before Knox County's COVID-19 death toll rose to six in total on Friday, the county's fourth COVID-19 death was reported just one day earlier, on Thursday.
With eight new positive COVID-19 cases reported in Knox County, there are now 370 total county residents confirmed to have tested positive for the novel coronavirus to date.
Statewide COVID-19 Update
Another 1,044 Indiana residents were confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19 by ISDH on Friday, bringing the total number of Indiana residents confirmed to have tested positive for the novel coronavirus to date to 97,884.
ISDH also confirmed on Friday that an additional 17 Hoosiers had died from COVID-19. To date, 3,127 total Indiana residents are confirmed to have died from COVID-19.
According to ISDH, 1,117,427 individual Indiana residents have been tested for COVID-19 so far, after 14,503 new COVID-19 tests were recorded on Friday. 8.75% of all Indiana residents who have been tested for the virus have tested positive.
As of Friday, ISDH listed 39.6% of ICU beds and 82.35 of ventilators as available throughout Indiana's hospitals.
