The corona virus pandemic forced the sports world to put things on hold for a while.

Which left some here locally wondering if events like the Korn Ferry Tour Championship would even take place.

Though there will not be fans in attendance this year, the annual tournament will still take place starting on Thursday and no one is happier than club and tournament officials who are excited we will still get to hit the links.

"We are very excited to hear that it was coming back this year. With all the unknowns going through the spring and summer we were waiting for the announcement of still being on, still being the tour championship so, we're very excited that we're still able to host it still. It was unfortunate not to have fans back this year. But we're still doing our part to make sure that we're still one of the favorite spots on the stop for the Korn Ferry and that we're makings sure that we put our best foot forward and we're still trying to put a top notch tournament on and making sure that the guys can mark this on their calanders and that they want to be here this week," said Victoria National Golf Club Assistant Golf Professional Alex Meyer.
