Victory Parade Saturday For Olympic Gold Medalist Jackie Young

Parade will honor the member of Team USA, which won the Gold Medal in the Women's 3X3 Basketball tournament Wednesday.

The celebration in Princeton, Indiana will continue into Saturday.

The City of Princeton has announced on Facebook that there will be a "Celebration Parade" on Saturday, July 31st at 4PM for the gold medalist.

The parade will take place around the Gibson County Courthouse square, travel up and down Broadway Street to the McDonald's for two laps.

The parade is in honor of Young, who along side fellow WNBA players Allisha Gray, Stefanie Dolson, and Kelsey Plum, defeated the Russian Olympic Committee for the Gold Medal, 18-15 in the new event for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Games.


City of Princeton asks for folks to line up Broadway St with signs, banners, and flags for the event to suppot Young.

It was another cool, though overall pleasant day across the Tri-State - after only seeing temperatures dive as low as 22° early this morning, peak temperatures ended up climbing a few degrees higher than Thursday's; that being said, Evansville’s high temperature of 27° Was still 15° below average for this time of the year. As for the evening ahead, temperatures will gradually fall for 23° around dinner time back down to 19° by10 PM. A weak northerly wind flow most of the night paired with our crystal clear skies will cause temperatures to of fall back down into the mid to low teens once again - Evansville's anticipated low temperature of 12° will mark or coolest since the morning of January 7th.
