Video released by the Tennessee Valley Authority shows the implosion of several storage silos and conveyor belt structures at TVA's Paradise Fossil Plant in Drakesboro, Kentucky.

The implosions happened on Wednesday morning around 7:00 a.m., with several traffic restrictions in place for the safety of Muhlenberg County community members in the area.

TVA says the next steps in the ongoing demolition project include continued metal recycling and concrete processing.

Through the project, TVA says the Paradise Fossil Plant site is being redeveloped to take steps toward advancing clean-energy technologies.

You can watch the video of the implosions released by TVA above.

We headed out to cloudy skies and some damp conditions this morning across the Tri-State. We've been tracking scattered showers for the first part of the day. While it’s been mostly cloudy, there will be some sunshine as soon as we get the rain out of the area. Temperatures are still expected to reach unseasonably warm values this afternoon. With some sunshine and winds out of the southwest highs should have no problem reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s. Clouds will clear out, but the southerly wind flow will keep overnight lows in the low to mid 40s. Tomorrow morning won't be all that bad considering it will be December 2nd.
