Two Honor Flight of Southern Indiana veterans will be getting the opportunity to take flight in the B-17.
95-year-old CPL Tony Neumann of Evansville and 100-year-old 2nd Lt. Mildred Bruner of Evansville will be taking part in the 20-minute flight over the River City Saturday, June 10th, at 10 a.m.
CPL Tony Neumann served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War Two. Neumann went on Honor Flight EVV2 in 2015.
2nd Lt. Mildred Bruner served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War Two as a nurse. Bruner went on Honor Flight EVV1 in 2014.
This comes after an announcement the iconic B-17 Flying Fortress, along with two other vintage World War Two aircrafts are coming to the Evansville Regional Airport.
The public event will cost $20 a person and includes full admission to the museum and on-board tours of the visiting warbirds.
